Marius Burokas is a poet, writer, translator and editor-in-chief of the Vilnius Review. As master of paradox, he can both shock and entertain in a single line. His recent book, of clean being (švaraus buvimo), was published in 2018. Parthian books will soon publish his book of selected English poetry, Now I Understand. His work has won a number of awards, including The Young Yotvingian literary prize, and been published in eight further languages. Burokas has translated the poetry of Charles Simic, Walter S. Merwin, William Carlos Williams, Charles Bukowski, Ted Hughes and Alan Ginsberg. He lives in Vilnius.
